The inaugural season of the Cocopah Speedway started on September 11, 2010 and the venue draws a packed house every race. Formerly the Yuma Speedway, the tribe purchased the track back in 2005. A dedicated group of volunteers, along with the tribe, worked tirelessly to bring the track back to competition worthy status. The Cocopah Indian Tribe is pleased to announce that dirt track racing is back in the Yuma area! Add the Speedway website to your list of favorites.
The 2010-2011 schedule of races runs from September to May with a two-day "Turkey Classic" Pro Stock open competition over the Thanksgiving holiday. Racing classes include Factory Stocks, Street Stocks, Pro Stocks and Modified - so there's something for everyone. Check back regularly as sometimes the schedule changes.
The Speedway offers concessions with food and drink, so please remember that no outside food, beverages or coolers will be allowed. Stay tuned as the tribe expects to expand the food and beverage service to accommodate the wishes of racers and fans alike.
If you're a die-hard fan, please remember that family, adult and teen season passes are available for a bargain. If you have questions on how to purchase the passes, please email speedway@cocopah.com or call (928) 344-1563 for more information.
